Project Brief: saving a derelict building in a sustainable way * This was a Grade II* listed building in the conservation area of Westerham in Kent. * Very light and unobtrusive interventions had to be made to allow the character and integrity of the existing structure to be retained. * A system of very fine stainless steel wires was devised to save the defective timber structure.
